Latest research showing effectiveness of Functional Nasal Rehabilitation

Our renowned breathing expert Dr Rosalba Courtney's latest research paper has just been published by the International Journal of Orofacial Myology and Myofunctional Therapy:

"Functional Nasal Breathing Rehabilitation: Effectiveness and Feasibility of an Onilne Integrative Breathing Therapy Protocol"

Breathing for optimal health starts with breathing through the nose in the daytime and during the night. Results from this new study show that nasal breathing can be improved with nasal breathing exercises.

There are so many benefits from nasal breathing throughout the body and it is unfortunate that many people can’t do this as well as they would like to.

Medical and surgical solutions can help but may not always be completely effective because functional issues that have developed from nasal disuse can persist despite these sorts of treatments. Functional nasal breathing rehabilitation (FNBR), was developed by Dr. Rosalba Courtney DO, PhD who is one of the leading experts in breathing therapy and retaining and a prominent researcher in this field.

FNBR is a comprehensive but relatively simple approach that works on correction of a range of issues that perpetuate mouth breathing and nasal obstruction. The program runs over 4 weeks and involves daily practice of breathing exercises. This study found that the program was easy for people to implement and effective in reducing symptoms and improving nasal breathing ability.
